Imagine Storefront Objects
==========================
MCMXCIII Alan Chan
These are Imagine2.0 objects created for a training video we are currently
working on, for a glamourous photography studio chain.. The objects were
created with the intention of importing them to Lightwave for Layout; our
setup allows me to build objects in Imagine (whose Details Editor, I think,
is much better that Modeler 2.0), import and layout on Lightwave, which has
a more intuitive interface (best of both worlds). I say this because although
all surfaces are attached, they are not tested. The Imagine rendereing engine
is fussy and may not do them right off the cuff.
Feel free to use these objects in your own works. I only ask that,
because these objects were created for a specific project and I don't know if
sharing these objects would be considered infringement, please modify any
object you use, however slightly. I guess one pixel out of place could be a
whole new object, maybe..
The objects are:
STOREFRONT - March arch which is the entrance to the store. Imagine did not
have a marble texture, so a dummy texture was used for the moment.
STOREFRONT PLUS - a little plaque to texture-map your company logo on, it
goes on the arch.
LAMP - Main Lighting Sources for the Store. Objects are grouped in Imagine,
and may be ungrouped for individual manipulation. (FYI, the Lamp unit
is tilted at a 19.4 degree angle)
LIGHTBAR - Demo photos go on these, and they are mounted on walls to showcase
their photos of beautiful women. Again, dummy texture used.
MAINLITE - Main Light for the studio. I have found that parenting a Light
inside this object makes for a cool move..!
HAIRLITE - Backlight unit, usually at 2/3 light intensity of Main Light. Parent
a Light on this too..!
BOTTLES - to go on the makeup countertops of the store. All the bottles can be
ungrouped for individual manipulation.
REALBOTTLE - A truer bottle, with an actual four layers of refraction, just as
a real empty bottle would have when light travels through it. Default
color is green, Transparency 33%, Refraction Index 1.5
PORTRAIT MONITOR - a modified Mac-like version of the RGBMonitor from the
Toaster Workstation scene.
As of this writing, 4/6/93, I am still waiting on more detailed info on the
rest of the store, such as cameras, background textures, chairs, etc.
When I can I'll upload it as file PHOTO2.. may be several months though..
watch for it!
